Organized: January 28, 1981 — Dallas, TX
I’d like to welcome you to the Thomas Poe Chapter, NSDAC website and introduce our chapter to you. We are a lineage organization whose goals are Patriotic, Historical and Education. You can learn more about that under the “Work of the Chapter” menu.
We celebrate and honor our ancestors who gave service to our country while it was still a colonial nation — that is before 4 Jul 1776. If your ancestor has at least one of the twenty-six different categories of service that are eligible before that 4 Jul 1776 date, and you can prove your lineage to that person, you are eligible to be a member of DAC. The categories, as well as other FAQ about membership, are listed on this web site under the Membership menu. Please read that section to learn more and feel free to ask additional questions either of me or our Registrar, Julie Gustafson.
We are eager to welcome new members. If your ancestor meets the qualifications, and if you are an American citizen of good moral character over the age of 18 you are eligible. There is a section on this site under “Chapter” that tells about our meetings. Because we have a reasonably priced box lunch at our meetings, it is necessary to reserve ahead of time. Please contact me directly to receive information about making your reservation if you wish to attend.
Please look at other portions of our website and also to the state and national websites to learn more. I’d like to invite you to one of our meetings so you can experience our chapter firsthand.
Yours in DAC Friendship,
Sue Saffell Cravy, Chapter Regent
